Killer Seagull is the in-production name for a stopmotin short film. the film is the examination project of Cristoffer Ålund and Jacob Petersson. It’s produced at LTU Skelleftå in Sweden.

The film is a modern fairytale, revolving around a little girl on a rugged industrial island. set in a stylised, alternate turn-of-century environment.

Our (Slightly optimistic) plan is to have the film finished by June, We’ll try to document the process on this blog

My name is Chris Diaz and I am contacting you on behalf of the Montreal Stop Motion Film Festival. My mandate is to help promote the third edition of the festival, which will take place on the 21st – 23rd of October. We are now in the process of looking for film entries for the festival. The deadline is approaching fast (September 26th) so we are trying to reach as many animators, directors, and producers as we can. “Killer Seagul” is looking great, and if you finish it by the end of September, we’d love for you to submit it to this year’s edition of the festival! If the film is only finished later this year, or in 2012, try to remember us and our 2012 edition!

The festival is free to enter, competitive, and there will be awards provided in each of our categories: Professional, Academic, and Independent films, as well as a new category for commercials and advertisements. The entry form and a complete listing of festival rules and guidelines can be found on our website:

As the deadline is approaching quickly, we would would like to ask for assistance in spreading the word that the Montreal Stop Motion Film Festival is open for submissions. For your convenience I have attached below the press release for the Call for Entries, which you may freely distribute to anyone who is either interested in either submitting or spreading the word.
