The goal for this project is to design an artificial intelligence suitable for stealth based games. The AI will present a realistic search behavior to locate a hidden target that can move around and hide behind and beneath objects. It will also remember visited locations and detect changes in the environment and utilize this knowledge.
The end result will be a small interactive application where you as the player try to hide and run away form the AI.
The agent will have a probabilistic search behavior. By knowing where you have been and the velocity you traveled at it will have expectations on where it can find you. You will also be able to hide beneath objects, say a table. This is something not often done in games, where you’re pretty much limited to only hiding behind objects. This will put more demands on the AI as the possibility that the target is beneath something will need to be considered and verified.
