Project Start

This week we’ve started on implementing our project. We’ve managed to get a simple window with render to texture capabilities, which will be required later. Some very basic terrain can already be rendered and flown around, but it’s finite and quite small. It will be improved with the use of clipmaps though.

Here are two pictures of it in action, with weird shader effects too.

First post

We have now set up the blog. On this blog we will be writing about how our project goes with weekly or more frequent updates. This last week we’ve spent planning and reading a multitude of papers on different subjects. We’ve also written the project plan and schedule, which is quite rough at the moment, but will probably be updated continuously during the following weeks as our project advances. Other than that not much has happened.
